Winter steelheading requires a jacket that will keep you warm, shield you from wet winter storms, and keep you out on the water all day long. Built for rugged Northwest waters, the Patagonia Men’s 3-in-1 River Salt Jacket is made from a virtually bombproof H2No four-layer shell fabric (the same used in Patagonia’s waders) and is treated with a Nanosphere DWR to repel moisture. Inside the jacket is a removable Nano Puff jacket insulated with PrimaLoft Gold, for uncompromising warmth that will still insulate even if by some chance it happens to get wet. The shell is fitted with three zippered chest pockets, two of which are specifically sized to fit fly boxes. A vented hood helps to keep your head cool, because swinging heavy lines and wading deep can lead to some heavy sweating. Watertight cuffs prevent water from seeping through when you go to release that big and wild winter steelhead, while two hand pockets on the liner jacket give you a place to warm your digits after dipping them in the icy water.
