There’s too much unexplored terrain outside the resort boundaries to just ignore, so step into the Black Diamond Juice Women’s Ski and go exploring. A slightly softer version of Black Diamond’s Revert ski, the Juice sports a classic 95mm touring waist, helping it excel in soft and hard snow, but has been updated with a rockered tip and tail for improved flotation and easy, consistent turn initiation. The traditional camber underfoot and Formula One construction–three tip-to-tail ribs for increased torsional stiffness–make short work of hard, icy, and variable snow, and the pre-preg fiberglass laminate and 5mm ABS sidewalls provide the right amount of stiffness and power for all conditions. The Juice offers plenty of uphill performance, too, starting with the light paulownia wood core. Black Diamond designed it with a SkinLock tail clip for easy skin attachment, and the whole ski weighs barely six pounds in a 172, so your hip flexors won’t be screaming in pain by the end of a moderate approach. It’s also tough enough to handle the occasional rock, thanks to a quick-and-tough P-Tex 4000 base and rugged Powder Edges, so you won’t feel like you have to pussyfoot around if you find yourself in peppery terrain.
