This versatile insulating jacket works great on its own when you’re on belay and functions equally well layered under a shell when you’re alpine climbing or ski mountaineering. Breathable Pertex Quantum fabric lets you push yourself with the the jacket on, while Schoeller stretch-woven side panels are specifically designed to optimize mobility while you climb. The PrimaLoft Gold insulation piles on the warmth and is highly compressible, so the jacket can be stowed in one of the two zippered hand pockets and stashed in a backpack or clipped to a harness with the attached carabiner loop. To protect against heat-robbing moisture, the jacket is treated with a DWR finish throughout the body along with NanoSphere technology along stretch side panels.
