That Revenant is a great jacket. I love the removable powder skirt feature, and wish more jackets used it. Westcomb does a better job than anyone else I've found regarding build quality, material selection, fit, and overall attention to detail. I've got two of their jackets, and am looking to get some pants and another jacket. They are impressive and addictive!

This is a fantastic jacket, using Event for the best breathability I have ever experienced. This jacket has a great fit and the most versatile hood I have ever used. It's fully helmet compatible, yet can cinch down to be worn without a helmet and feel like a smaller hood. It also stows down flat when not in use due to the design and will not fill up with snow or rain, I love it. It has a removable snow skirt that I have pretty much taken out. I may use it for some skiing this winter. The quality is amazing (made in Canada) and the style looks good. I am stoked on my new jacket!

I bought this jacket about a year ago from ProLiteGear.com after reading a favorable review on the jacket in Backpacker magazine. The key points made in the magazine article were that the jacket was very well made, very waterproof, very breathable and the fabric would not wet out. All of those points have proved true, though the breathability is always a matter of degree.
I recently went on a three day backpacking trip with two days of constant rain or snow. What really impressed me about the jacket was that the water just beaded up and rolled off. The DWR treatment appears very good. In contrast, the Marmot Oracle rain pants I was wearing wetted out, though they were waterproof.
The hood is huge since it is helmet compatible, but can be cinched down to create a tight capsule over your head when not wearing a helmet. Though the hood can be rolled up when not in use, I would like to have a zippered pocket in which to store it, like on my Marmot Oracle jacket.
In addition to the helmet compatible hood, the features include four outside zippered pocket (2 Napolean and 2 above the waist) and one inside zippered pocket for an electronic devise. I remove the powder skirt to save a few ounces.
The manufacturing quality is excellant. As least as to this jacket, I think Westcomb's jacket is the equal of the top of the line Arc'teryx rain jacket. Westcomb's jacket is well designed, uses great materials and is well made.
