With GoLite products you are carrying less redundant weight. A seven and a half pound backpack may look cool in an outdoor store, but it's five or six pounds heavier than a GoLite pack - all excess baggage which slows you down and robs you of the experience you went into the outdoors for in the first place.

However, hikers and climbers are only as safe as their skills and judgment allow them to be. GoLite™ gear can not save you from inept decision making in the outdoors, but then no gear can.
