Bozeman athletes Mike Wolfe and Nikki Kimball win White River 50 mile trail run

The White River 50-Miler at Crystal Mountain, Washington is a USATF national championship trail race and always attracts a strong field.

Mike Wolfe (Bozeman, Montana) won in 7:00 wearing his classic button-down collared synthetic western style shirt for the entire race. Mike wasn't favored to win the race, but is rapidly gaining credibility, and attention - must be the shirt!

Female Champion Nikki Kimball (Bozeman, Montana) won in a new course record of 7:40, eclipsing her previous mark of 7:45, Nikki has not lost a trail ultra since ... well, nobody can remember that far back. She also won at White River in 2003, 2004, and 2005, and is also the course record-holder.

Congratulation to Mike and Nikki for an excelent race, and for representing Bozeman so well!
