Rab M14 Climbing Glove

This glove is an excellent performer for tough and dirty mountain jobs. In the span I've had a pair I've used them for just about everything imaginable: SAR missions, trail work, climbing a 190 foot steel antenna tower for maintenance purposes, a 17 mile day to over 10,000 feet, and of course the obligatory(and namesake) dry tooling. They don't offer much in the way of insulation but there is some fleece lining on the back of the hand that makes just the difference, plus they're light enough that you can still stuff your hands in a mitten and allow these to function as a tough liner. The leather palms are beefy and reinforced in the right places plus there is padding on the pinky(and knuckles) and bottom hand edges where you contact leashless ice tools. The thumb tops are a very soft material perfect wiping snot and have yet to give me a raw nose. Medical professionals and LE will be happy to know that an XL nitrile exam glove will still fit over an XL Rab M14 glove making this a perfect item for first responders who can't compromise their dexterity over a little cold weather. I suggest this glove as an excellent technical rope work, and climbing glove, as well as a lightweight tough liner for situations where a flimsy fleece glove may not be appropriate such as ski mountaineering or hunting. Lastly, at just under $40 I don't think competitor's can even come close to Rab's price.
