Specifically designed as a replacement for the heavy and bulky fleece garments used by many backcountry enthusiasts, the U.L. Down Series is "what you need" when warmth is critical, minimal weight is paramount, and space in your pack is at a premium.

This is by far the best layer for backpacking that I have found. It is light weight, compresses to the size of a baseball and is the perfect amount of warmth for chilly nights in the mountains. I have also found that it is a great layer to improve the warmth of your sleeping bag.
