It may look a bit weird but it does work. I was never an umbrella guy. I bought one to see what the hype was all about. It takes all the heat out of the sun. It is great for cragging you stay relatively cool until it's your turn to climb. On long days in the desert it is indispensable. I have rigged up a way to go hands free. Your always in the shade.
