Hi, I was wondering what these screws are made of to make the SO light? And are the tips easily replaceable as e-climb states? If so, these are looking to be quite the nice screw.

The reason they are so light is they are mostly made of aluminum. They have a steel tip and are just as strong as a full steel screw. As far as replacing a tip it is just about as easy as e-climb states. It took a bit more effort to break the tip loose to put a new tip on. I took that as a positive. I really don't want something that would come off too easily. They have the same thread pattern as the B.D. screws and place and rack as nicely. I do think they start a little better than the B.D's due to a more aggressive tip shape.
