Description

Big Agnes added Primaloft eco to its inflatable Air Core pad to create the Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad. By using Primaloft Eco synthetic insulation, Big Agnes kept a few plastic bottles out of the landfill. The inflatable design on the Insulated Air Core means you get a super plush 2.5-inch-thick sleeping pad that helps you stay warm on cold nights and yet compacts to a miniscule size.

Internal polyurethane coating
Add a closed cell foam pad in colder temperatures for extra insulation
Non-breakable brass valve with plastic coated EZ-FlateTM mouthpiece
Store unrolled with valve open
Includes stuff sack and repair kit
Each pad individually inflated and tested
EZ-FlateTM Valve instructions: Twist black part of valve counter-clockwise to open. Blow into valve to inflate. Hold gray portion of valve in mouth while spinning black portion clockwise to close.

Staff Comments: I bought this item to see what the fuss is all about. I took it out for one night. I came back home and gave away all of my other pads. It the most comfortable nights sleep I have had. After all it is 2.5 inches thick. Filled with primaloft insulation it carries an R-factor of 4.1. So if you are using this pad with a top bag/quilt you will be very warm. I am a side sleeper and have always woken up with a sore hip. Now I feel like I am sleeping in my bed at home. It also actually compresses back to the original size, about the size of a nalgene for the 20x78x2.5 The coolest part, I got on it and paddled out in the middle of a lake and fished off of it.
