Montane is a performance clothing company run by people with a passion for expeditioning and travel to challenging and inspiring places.

At Montane we make clothing for people who are active outdoors.

These words may sound glib and overused, but in our case they are chosen very specifically.

"Active" implies that you will both be sweating and moving pretty fast.

On foot, bike, hands and feet, or in a kayak you will be creating moisture within your clothing and wanting to carry as little additional weight as possible.

"Outdoor" implies the need for protection against the weather in all its precious forms: wind, rain, sun and snow.

Within its class, all Montane clothing is exceptionally breathable and as lightweight as possible. We can think of no situation in which your outdoor equipment should be heavier rather than lighter.
